Scots stay undefeated on senior night
For my first sports article, I experimented with different angles and lighting during the game. Sports photography is especially challenging because of the level of dynamic movement happening in real-time. At first, I struggled with taking photos in focus; however, later on, I was able to capture angles and movements to an extent.
Fall play takes the big stage for the first time in four years
As a member of the technical theatre crew for the show A Midsummer Night's Dream, I had access to dress rehearsals and assisted my friend, Linda Reeder, with photos in her article. With the lighting on stage and less movement, I could capture better shots of actors and their expressions.
Scots bounce back against Buccaneers
With my final sports story as a staff writer for Scot Scoop, I covered the Carlmont girls varsity basketball game at Lincoln High School in San Francisco. The unique lighting from the windows within the gym provides a yellow-washed tint to all the photos. However, I enjoyed this aspect, feeling that it added more to the environment of the images.
