About Me

Initially, I was still deciding about being a journalist. However, after experiencing my first year with Scot Scoop, I have discovered a newfound interest in making an impact through my writing. After publishing my first feature story, I felt the power and effect I had with my voice. It sparked a larger interest in journalism, driving me to continue with the Scot Scoop program. I am excited to pursue more opportunities as an editor next year, and I look forward to what the future will bring me!

Another big part of my life is music. After starting to play viola in fifth grade, my passion as a string player only grew. While my journey as a musician was stifled during the pandemic, once I entered high school, I could reconnect with music. In my freshman year, I participated in Music Mentors, a program for older musicians to tutor younger kids in their chosen instrument. Later on, I joined Peninsula Youth Artists (PYA), a subgroup of Peninsula Youth Orchestra (PYO), and next year I will be joining the highest level of PYO.
